Jonathan Marcus is a strategist and designer who builds what’s next.
Currently based in New York City, Jonathan consults with Gapingvoid Culture Design Group, where he partners with senior leaders to design cultures of purpose, innovation, and alignment. He brings a unique fusion of human-centered systems design, behavioral science, and innovation strategy— with a focus on designing for real-world constraints and real human needs.
With over 11 years of experience, Jonathan’s career spans physical products, digital platforms, services, experiences, and organizational systems. He has launched 350+ SKUs across retail and eCommerce, and has led innovation programs for venture-backed startups, Fortune 100s, and federal agencies with past work recognized by TIME Magazine and Fast Company for breakthrough innovation.
Jonathan holds a Masters in Human-centered design from MIT, and has studied at Harvard, LSE, Pratt and UT Austin. He blends systems thinking with storytelling, making abstract ideas actionable, whether through a product, a playbook, or a paradigm shift. Across domains and scales, he specializes in designing for impact: fusing insight with creative precision to bring bold ideas to life.
